Even developing a good punch takes years of practice and conditioning of the fist. I am not saying, don't pursue these endeavours, HOWEVER when it comes to effective self defence you don't need to. Complicated and intricate techniques don't work when you have to fight for your life. When you're in the heat of battle, you don't have time to worry about your foot position or how many degrees your wrist is bent. You just want to get out of there alive!                                                                                                 

Your method of protecting yourself must be simple and instinctive. That is “if you have to think about it” you're dead.

When you are under fear induced stress your body  prepares itself for battle. For more information on this particular subject, seek out the works by people like Dave Grossman, Randell Waddell, Gavin De Becker etc.

This is some of your body’s  reactions, when you fear for your life:
• Loss of bowel and bladder control
• Vasoconstriction - Blood leaving the extremities to go to major organs and the large  muscle groups. This will reduce bleeding from wounds to the extremities.                  

However, the result is:
• Loss of fine motor skills.
• Action like running and charging are at their highest level.
• Auditory Exclusion (you don't hear everything)
• Loss of near vision (You don't see everything)

Frequently asked questions

Q: Do I need to have any experience before I start training?
A: No, absolutely not. The methods are designed for people with a variety of backgrounds and physical abilities. They were designed by close combat specialists with a limited amount of time to teach a wide variety of people in a short amount of time. And it had to work every time - ALL the time.

Q: Will this replace the martial art I am studying?
A: Only if you are only interested in the bare bones necessities you need to survive. But this really works well in conjunction with your current method. Just use this principles with whatever  you already practice. What happens a lot is that people like you start applying this attitude to the way they perceive their current training. The result has been outstanding to say the least.

Q: Is it only for smaller or weak people?
Let's put it this way, if it can work for a 100 pound woman, just think what it will do for you. Besides, there will come a day where you will not be able to do the things that you do today, I think of age, physical condition etc. Don't you want a primary method of fighting that doesn't require a great amount of skill or athletic ability? Do you see the value in having a front line of defence?

Q: Will I need a lot of equipment or a training partner?
A: You will need a training partner and/or a training dummy, Training partners are good and will help, especially with the grabs and holds. And if you want to train intensely, you would need one. There is no other equipment required.


Q: How long will it take to become effective?
A: Usually, immediately, but that depends on you - the more you train and the harder you practice, the better your chances. There are no guarantees in a fight. But if you train these methods, they will become second nature in an extremely short time. We are talking days as opposed to months and years.

Q: Can I use these methods in sparring or competition?
A: No.  This is not a sport. Most of these methods are illegal in competition and for good reason. Sports and competition are great for developing spirit and character. These methods are far too lethal. You wouldn't want someone dying in the ring because you crushed his adam’s apple.

 Kurs i praktisk konflikthåndtering og akutt stresspsykologi.

Kurset er på totalt 30 timer, fordelt på 3 dager a 10 timer og omfatter bl.a  følgende tema;

  • Praktisk fysisk trening, med utgangspunkt i relevante situasjoner.
  • Kommunikasjonstrening i verbal og ikke verbal persepsjonstrening.
  • Bevisstgjøring og teoretiske innblikk på hva som skjer i en akutt stress situasjon.
  • Maktbruk opp mot loven og jobben.
  • Pro-aktivt tanke og handlingssett
  • Viktigheten av å ha en samstemt kropp, tanke og sjel.
  • Helse og mental avbalansering.

 

METODE

-         Innlæringen foregår ut fra    teorien om operant betinging. Det er da viktig at  det en tenker sier og gjør, stemmer overens og at innlæringen foregår ut fra hvert enkelt individs verdigrunnlag, samt at det er i overenstemmelse med samfunnets lover og regler.

-         Kurset er lagt opp som et stressmestringsprogram, for å utvikle evnen til det optimale når det gjelder å ta avgjørelser og å handle i kritiske situasjoner. Den pro-aktive holdningen eliminerer handlingslammelse og lærer deltakerne at det finnes alltid en løsning.

STRESSMESTRING

Du kan eliminere den stressfaktoren FRYKT utgjør en gang for alle, ved hjelp av et offensivt takesett som kan læres. Hvis du tror du ikke har tid til å lære å leve et liv uten frykt, så er jeg her for å fortelle deg at du kan i løpet av en helg, fullstendig forandre måten du ser på livet og du vil ikke frykte noen mann etter et av våre kurs, så lenge du gjør bruk av de prinsippene vi har vist deg.

 I løpet av vårt grunnleggende 30 timers kurs, vil du gjennomgå en rekke forandringer i hvordan du ser på omverdenen. Det som før har fremkalt stress, frykt, aggresjon osv., vil ikke lenger være en styrende faktor for ditt handlingsmønster, du vil handle istedenfor å tvile.

 Tenk deg at du er ute en kveld sammen med din kone, plutselig blir dere overfalt av noen  dopede idioter.    Kan du forsvare din kone og deg selv? 

 OK, du har trent og blitt god i din kampsport, du har trent en tid med grappling og jutsu, du har trent styrke og kondisjon, du er sterk og rask, så du tar tak i første mann og holder han låst i et godt grep. Problemet er at her er det ingen dommer, dopern klapper ikke ut og mens du holder han låst fast, er de fire andre kameratene hans i gang med å danse riverdans på hodet ditt.

 Jeg er ikke ute etter å gjøre deg paranoid, men det er en realitet at samfunnet har blitt mer voldelig, det er mindre respekt for andre menneskers liv og eiendom. Så det er en mulighet for at du i løpet av livet vil komme til å oppleve en faretruende situasjon som denne. Ville det ikke da være godt å ha treningen og selvsikkerheten som gav deg muligheten til å handle, istedenfor å være den som ble handlingslammet og mishandlet til krøpling?

 Hvis du er av den meningen at du ikke har tid til å beskjeftige deg med denne typen trening, at du har for mye annet å gjøre, for mye arbeid, familie tar opp all fritid osv., må du huske at det er du som er den viktige faktoren i ditt liv, det er du som teller, hvis du ikke er tilstede - har du ingen mulighet til å gjøre alle de andre viktige tingene i livet ditt.

 Du vil i løpet av en helg  (fre-søn), fullstendig forandre på forutinntatte holdninger om at det tar år med trening for å lære å kunne håndtere den situasjonen som et overfall er. Realiteten er at militære spesialavdelinger i USA og Russland som skal ut i en væpnet konflikt, har bare 30-50 timers trening i  "hand to hand & hand to weapon" nærkamp trening. Dette er snakk om de avdelingene som har det beste utstyret og trening som er tilgjengelig i verden.

 Alle bestanddelene av nærkamp er plukket fra hverandre og analysert. Det hele er gjort til et vitenskaplig emne, alt unødvendig er fjernet og vi står tilbake med de relevante bitene som sammensatt gjør at du kan lære deg det nødvendige på 3 døgn. Det hele er brutt ned til en matematisk modell, som viser hvorfor systemet er så effektivt.  Du behøver kun å gjøre bruk av prinsippene for å være en effektiv "fighter".

En av fordelene ved dette systemet er at du behøver ikke å lære deg en hel masse teknikker, systemet er bygd opp slik at du utnytter menneskekroppens naturlige reaksjoner og responser.

  • Du vil lære å fyre oppunder disse reaksjonene og lede din respons mot mål på angriperens kropp.
  • Du vil lære hvilke av dine kroppsvåpen som er hensiktsmessig å bruke på hvilke mål.
  •  Du vil lære få maksimal kraft ut av kroppen, ved hjelp av riktig pusteteknikk.
  • Du behøver ikke å være en atlet i god form, da systemet bygger på vitenskaplige prinsipper som fungerer uavhengig av din fysiske form, størrelse og styrke. Det virker like bra for kvinner som for menn.

Vi vil ved hjelp av en godt ut prøvet vitenskaplig læringsprosess, stimulere sinnet ditt slik at informasjonen blir lagret og slik at den vil være tilgjengelig, selv om du etter en stund tror du har glemt det du har gjort på kurset.

 En sammenligning vil være at du går barbent og plutselig trår du på en tegnestift. Hva skjer?  Stopper du opp og tenker "nå har jeg tråkket på en tegnestift, nå må jeg løfte foten"? Nei, du vil sannsynligvis løfte foten så raskt du kan når du føler tegnestiften og du har denne responsen uten å tenke. Dette er en naturlig reaksjon som inntreffer når signalet fra tegnestiftens inntrengen i foten når frem i sentralnervesystemet.

Når slike reaksjoner inntreffer, overstyrer de (sentralnervesystemet), tankene dine og du har en ikke bevisst respons på det som har inntruffet.

Så er spørsmålet "Hvor ofte trener du å tråkke på tegnestifter barbent"?

Trener du aldri på det!  Allikevel så reagerer du som du gjør.

SPIRITUAL
The effort to reach to one's inner nucleus and find a balance in this world is essentially spiritual. The innermost core of ourselves and the universe are intrinsically one and the same. To be a spiritualist means manifesting and radiating that harmony of body mind and spirit and constantly improving on it.


WARRIOR

A warrior is a person that is not adverse to struggle and has learnt that effort, the application of vigor and fight are enjoyable and a part of our nature as human beings. To be a true spiritualist one must fight all kinds of distractions, personal weaknesses, fear and lethargy. Hence, inner peace is a result of sometimes intense struggle." The main characteristic of Tantra* is that it represents human vigor..." Living life with intensity and purpose is leading the life of a "warrior". To be a "warrior" does not necessarily implicate waging a "war". It is also an honorary title of many tribal societies for a human being endowed with courage and compassion.


TRAINING
A spiritual warrior is someone who pursues spirituality with vigor and determination. We are neither a spiritualist nor a warrior without taking the attitude that we are "in training" at any level. The "in-training" humbleness is an essential trait of a true aspirant as well as the master and teacher. Destroying life and property in the name of religion is the utmost height of foolishness history has witnessed and has nothing to do with spirituality nor warriorship.


*The attempt to liberate oneself from crudeness is also termed Tantra (Tan=crudeness, Tra=liberation) which is a universal concept practiced in all ages,you may know it as Dao (Tao). Daoistic timeless principles and ideas are used in our programs to help us expand our limited beliefs and sentiments.
