Listening to The Zone is a bit like lucid dreaming without going to sleep, or getting high without inhaling. The Zone state of mind is the same as that induced by long-distance running, or the level obtained by doing monotonous work over extended periods.

Relating mind levels to cycle-per-second activity, the hypnogogic state is the bottom of alpha, top of theta. This is the level Albert Einstein claimed to have received his ideas and Mozart composed music. But we’ve tweaked the electronics to take you deeper into theta, while at the same time remaining alert and focused on your creative endeavours.

Play the CD while you train, create, think, study or have sex. You can expect your level of focus to become so intense that time will seem to disappear (you go into “The Zone” experiencing to be in the flow of things).

Using The Zone CD couldn't be simpler!  Like all our binaural beat recordings, simply slip on your stereo headphones and press the "Play" button on your CD player. The binaural beats will automatically begin affecting your brainwaves, and you'll soon realize the benefit!

A quick explanation: When you see the words trance, hypnosis, meditation or altered state of consciousness, they are different words meaning the same thing. If you’re wide awake in mid-beta consciousness, the cycle-per-second electrical activity of your brain -- converted to beats per minutes -- is about 850 beats per minute. When your consciousness is altered (with electronics or standard hypnosis or meditation techniques) to deep alpha, you slow to about 140 beats per minute. This is the hypnogogic level -- bottom of alpha, top of theta. Deep sleep is the delta range -- mid-range about 30 beats per minute. There is no place else to go. The difference between meditation and hypnosis (commonly called trance), amounts to nothing more than how most people use their time in trance.

Writers sitting at the keyboard for long periods go into trance. Distance runners go into trance after running some distance. People watching TV are often in trance. People who tend to daydream, are often in trance. Anyone who focuses upon what they’re doing to the point that time seems to disappear, is probably in trance. And when in trance, you’ve increased your level of suggestibility by 25 to 200 times.
 

The Zone

Any of our mind-electronics programs can be used with your eyes open or closed, depending up what you seek to accomplish. But I’ll start with The Zone, because it was created to be used with your eyes open.

Here’s how I use it: During training, both Yoga and martial arts. This is something I have learned from living and training with a range of masters from Kung Fu, Tai Chi and Yoga to Russian Spec Ops instructors. The best ones used some kind of monotonous sounds in the background while I was practicing. I thought it was a bit funny, but I accepted it as a part of the tradition. It was not until I started training with a highly regarded instructor from a certain Spec Op unit in the USSR, I came to the conclusion that there had to be more to it, as he used the same sounds.

I had been using alpha and theta recordings for meditation for several years already at this time. However I had not been studying the subject, it was more a habit, since I felt I went down much faster. As I saw it used in a scientific way, I started to study the subject. I got to see a lot of studies on how the different levels of brainwaves, influenced on the various bodily and mental functions.

Just to cut the story short, I found that according to studies done both in USSR and in the west, there is enough to verify what the eastern cultures have done for thousands of years. The different brainwaves have a direct link to how we perform in different areas as well as to our health and well being.

Also as I am writing the words you’re now reading, the CD is playing in the background, so I’m writing in trance. Because I spend a lot of time at the keyboard, I automatically go into an altered-state when I write, but not as deep and not with the degree of focus I attain when also listening to The Zone.

Writing like this, alone in my home studio, time literally disappears. I might write all morning without a break and it feels as if only a few minutes have gone by. At this mind level, to some degree, I’ve removed the filters that normally block access to my subconscious mind. This means, I more easily draw upon greater knowledge in my area of focus. The subconscious is a memory bank and contains memories of everything you’ve every said, done or learned.

For those accepting metaphysical concepts, another value to writing/creating at this level is the potential of channelling information from more evolved entities on the other side. I usually ask for this kind of help when I want it. But sometimes upon editing my words, I realize I’ve written about a concept I had no conscious knowledge

Although The Zone was created for eyes-open focus, I’ve also been using it for eyes-closed meditation. I’m an overly-conditioned subject and if at all tired, I can easily drift off into a nap. When meditating with The Zone I’m less likely to do this. I should add here that I would normally use Deep Meditation for a eyes-closed meditation.

 

 

Deep Meditation

Deep Meditation have "knocked out" several professional. They couldn't believe how effective it was. "My eyes started to REM about 10 seconds after you put it on," said one hypnotist. (Eye-REM indicates deep trance.)

Deep Meditation combines vibrational theta waves with a delta-rhythm (deep sleep) pulse to generate an enhanced hypnogogic state of mind in which you are open to receive subjective images and inspiration. This is the deep meditative level that used to take people months and years of practice to attain. Albert Einstein claimed to have received his ideas in this state, and Mozart composed music at this level.

Deep Meditation &  Other Mind Programs

Listening to any mind-electronics program will quickly put you into an altered state of consciousness ... or hypnosis if your prefer. You may not realize you’re in trance, but if you can hear the sound, your consciousness will quickly shift. Now, once you’re comfortable, and your eyes are closed, direct yourself to obtain the awareness you desire.

  • Problem solving: If you’re trying to solve a problem, say to yourself, “I am now open to finding positive ways to resolve my __________ situation. I call out to my guides and masters, and to highly evolved and loving entities who mean me well. Please provide me with ideas and inspirations.” Then quiet your mind. If an idea comes in, note it. Maybe you can keep a tape recorder beside you to speak the idea. If unrelated outside thoughts come in, brush them aside and tell yourself, “I’ll deal with that later.” Then return your concentration to quieting your mind—blanking out all extraneous thoughts, until new inspiration arises. When you’re ready to awaken, count yourself up from one to five and say, “I’m now wide awake and fully alert. If you don’t feel fully awake, splash some water on your face and proceed carefully until you’re returned to full beta-consciousness.
     
  • Mind-Programming: Give yourself many different suggestions phrased as if what you desire were already accomplished. Then create mental movies that support the achievement of your goal. See yourself having already done it. You can also condense your desire down to one well-worded sentence, which you repeat over and over as a mantra. After about 15 minutes count yourself up.
     
  • Healing: Proceed as I described in Mind-Programming, but you may also want to manifest energy for a healing release. Vividly imagine a beam of intense, shimmering blue light coming down from the heavens and entering your crown chakra of spirituality on the top of your head. This is the blue healing ray. Visualize the light running down your spine, through the chakra centers, then up into your back and shoulder muscles and on down into your arms ... and eventually into the palms of your hands. Direct the light to concentrate in the palms of your hands, becoming hotter and hotter and hotter. Continue to do this for several minutes, focusing more and more energy into the palms of your hands. Then place your hands upon the area in most need of healing and “RELEASE!” Say it, think it, and feel it. This is a very powerful technique, which becomes more powerful if others are involved with you in the process. Count yourself up as described in Problem Solving.
     
  • Past-life regression: Once you’re fully relaxed and at ease, decide what you’d like to explore. You could request to go back to a lifetime influencing your current incarnation, or back to a life in a specific historic period, or back to the cause of something you seek to better understand. Make your desire clear by visually focusing upon it and stating it with silent words. Next, imagine a tunnel to your past and count backwards from five to one -- counting yourself through the tunnel from the present back into the past. On the count of one, step out of the end of the tunnel into the past life. Open to perceiving impressions in the form of fantasy-like visualizations, or an internal voice, a feeling, or simply an inner knowing. Be open to any and all forms of perceptions. Know too that you’ll feel like you’re making it up. Everyone feels that they are making up their past-life impressions .... including me. But you will be making up real things. Count yourself up as described in Problem Solving.
     
  • Remote viewing: Once you’re relaxed and at ease, begin to visualize the person you’d like to view. Capture their essence in your mind -- how they look, how they move, the sound of their voice ... everything. Then if you want to connect, say, “I now want to perceive information about where ______ is, what he’s doing, how he’s feeling, etc.” Be open to everything that comes in -- every thought, feeling and emotion. The more you practice, the better you get. Awaken as described in Problem Solving.
     
  • Chakra-Connection: A chakra connection between two people doing psychic explorations will greatly enhance the telepathic tie. If two people are working together, one of you can say out loud, “We are now going to visualize a crown-chakra connection, by both vividly imagining an intense violet light emanating from the top of our heads. The light arches up and across, forming an arch that connects the tops of our heads. (pause) The connection is now complete, and it’s time to visualize the next chakra. (proceed through the third-eye brow chakra -- indigo blue, throat chakra -- silver blue, and heart chakra -- golden.  With practice, many people are capable of perceiving identical impressions, emotions or realizations.

I was truly amazed the first time I used this technology myself more than 20 years ago. The research I had read was absolutely true! As I continued to use the tapes on a regular basis, I developed a new sense of balance and 'flow' in my life. When I learned how it worked, it made total sense. Science has known for years that in human beings certain electrical patterns in the brain correspond to different mental abilities and different mental states.

Most of the time, we are in something called the beta brain wave pattern - the pattern of normal waking consciousness. Beta waves are associated with concentration, alertness, and cognition. The mind takes in information, stores it, and remembers it at a level far higher than normal!

Yes this technology can actually improve memory! In one study we find that the test scores were not only higher than normal, but were accomplished in only half the study time! In another, time spent studying was reduced 24% - while recall increased 26%!

Alpha is also often associated with what is known as 'the superlearning state' - the ability to learn, process, store, and recall large amounts of information quickly and efficiently.

Theta waves are slower, produced during dreaming sleep, but also associated with 'a-ha!' experiences, increased memory, and what are called integrative experiences (in which we make broadly based positive changes in the way we see ourselves, others, or certain life situations).

Theta is also the brain pattern of (among other things) increased creativity. It is the brain wave state in which Thomas Edison's greatest ideas came to him! Some call it being 'in the zone!'

Dr. Thomas Budzynski, a noted researcher in this field, has said that critical and often self-sabotaging filters of the left brain are bypassed in a theta state, and that in terms of making positive changes in beliefs or habit patterns, 'a lot of work gets done very quickly.'

Best of all, theta is also a state of tremendous stress relief! In the slower theta brain wave pattern, the brain makes lots of relaxing endorphins that really do - as you will see when you try it for yourself - melt your stress away.

The slowest brain wave pattern is delta, the brain wave pattern of dreamless sleep. Generally, people are asleep in the delta state, but there is evidence that it is possible to remain alert in this state - a very deep trance-like, non-physical state in which you enjoy a corresponding increase in balance between the two hemispheres of the brain.

This balance is called brain synchrony, and taps you into what scientists call whole brain thinking, the type of brain function associated with geniuses - the Einsteins and Mozarts of the world. According to Dr. Giampapa, cortisol is the major age-accelerating hormone within the brain. It also interferes with learning and memory and is, in general, bad for your health and your well-being.
